Renewable energy system integrated at the building scale

The testing of the two prototype systems in Greece and in Germany for a whole year will allow to extract reliable conclusions from the monitored data, leading to the technology validation.
The SolBio-Rev project was presented at “Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften 2019” (english: Night of Sciences 2019). This event took place in the metropolitan area of the three cities Nürnberg, Fürth and Erlangen. More than 350 institutions (companies, universities as well as research, social and cultural institutions) participated and opened their doors from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. to the public.
The workshop is being organized by NTUA and DAIKIN, and will feature a panel of five expert speakers who will showcase an innovative renewable energy system based on a novel heat pump-based configuration. This system is capable of providing space heating, space cooling, domestic hot water (DHW), and electricity, while meeting the heating and cooling demand and variable electricity demand of a building in a cost-effective manner suitable for various building types and sizes without any geographical restriction.
The event “Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften 2023” (english: Night of Science 2023) is a biannual event in the metropolitan area of the three cities Nürnberg, Fürth and Erlangen. More than 350 institutions participated and opened their doors from 17:00 to 0:00 to the public. The participating institutions included amongst others research institutions, universities, companies, public institutions and museums.
The event was the – biennial organized- international conference focusing on the subject of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Power Systems. In particular, multiple parallel sessions were held, in which several scientific and industrial papers were presented, along with a poster session. The conference included a European corner, hosting scientific projects funded by the European Union, oriented towards ORC systems and energy efficiency, in general.
